Many people have asked which children "well child" evaluations are designed for. The answer is "most" children.
*If your child is soaring through life gloriously---fabulous!! This evaluation can show you the specifics of that development and provide a road map for continued progress. This would include specific recomendations to ensure their progress in ALL areas of development, cranial/sacral evaluation, basic nutrition information and twelve-month support.
*If your child is doing okay, but could be doing better, an evaluation may help provide the answers you've been looking for. You will see firsthand where your child's strengths are and what areas need some precise stimulation to help them. An individualized plan will be detailed for step-by-step progress to reach your goals for your child.
*If your child has what you would consider "moderate" issues---perhaps they have been labeled with ADHD, learning disabilities, sensory integration issues, etc.---an evaluation can help you sort out the many different labels and give you specific guidance about how your child can OVERCOME these issues---not just COPE with them.
*If your child has severe developmental or neurological issues, a well child evaluation will not be sufficient to give you the knowledge necessary to help your child in a complete and overall way. However, it can be useful as a first-step to lay the foundation for healing changes for your child.

Well child evaluations are neurodevelopmental evaluations of your child(ren) based on the Integrative & Developmental Progression Chart. The evaluations generally last between four and five hours and include:
Neurodevelopmental Evaluation 1 to 1.5 hours
Cranial/Sacral Evaluation .5 hours
Program/Nutrition Teaching 1.5 to 2 hours

There is a break for the family of about 1 hour after the evaluation is completed. During this time a personalized program is prepared for your child based on the information learned in the evaluation and from information provided by the family.

The cost of this service will be $499. The price includes support via email, phone, video and reports for a period of one year. Those in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex may have this evaluation performed in their own home.

Parents outside the Dallas/Forth Worth metroplex may request evaluations in their area. "Away" evaluations will have a fee of $499 plus travel expenses. Travel expenses for one person can be a substantial savings over bringing the entire family to Texas. Some parents have formed groups and schedule a number of evaluations in one area and then split the travel expenses between all the families. Thus making even great savings are available.

Since I am always learning, I am hopefully always changing in some ways.

If you have your child evaluated, you have the option of posting about that evaluation and discussing some of the elements of that evaluation/program publicly on the forum. You also have the option NOT to discuss these things publicly on the forum. I (meaning anyone ever involved with Parents with Purpose) will not initiate this process for a parent and will not reveal details publicly unless given prior approval by parents.

I will follow the lead given by the parent---if you publicly post certain questions, I will publicly answer them. If you want a private answer, please send me a "private message" (pm) or a private email at donna.bateman@gmail.com . All correspondence---whether public or private---regarding a specific child who is evaluated by me will be printed and become part of their correspondence record.

I looooooove working with such great parents and want to be as respectful and considerate as possible. I am always open to suggestions. Please make any suggestions privately so I can respond in a way that is specific to your situation.
